In 2019 Students went to the MN State Capitol to present to policymakers ideas that are important to them. The guiding question was “Does the budget of the state of MN reflect the values of the state?” Below is a synopsis of that journey.

Final Product

The final products were two-fold. The primary product was the actual presentation at the Capitol in the Rotunda. However, in addition the students needed to create a Briefing Book that could be handed out so that policy makers could take it with them and still understand the analysis and impact that they students were trying to have. Here are those two products.

Draft-4

To get a better understanding of the drafts that the students went through, I have put in four drafts of the first couple pages as the product was being produced here.

The boxes represent information that was still needed on those pages. You can see the pages really fill with content!
